 * Fitment Factor: The "fitment factor" is a key multiplier used to calculate the new basic pay. While the final figure is not confirmed, projections range from 1.92 to 2.86. The 7th Pay Commission used a fitment factor of 2.57.

 * Expected Salary for Level 3: The current basic pay for a Level 3 employee under the 7th Pay Commission starts at ₹21,700. With a projected fitment factor, the new basic pay could be in the following range:

   * Using a fitment factor of 1.92, the new basic pay could be around ₹41,664.

   * Using a fitment factor of 2.28, the new basic pay could be around ₹49,476.

   * Using a fitment factor of 2.86, the new basic pay could be around ₹62,062.
